MLB announces participants in 2024 celebrity softball game headlined by local NBA star

The MLB announced the initial list of participants in the 2024 Celebrity Softball game which will take place as apart of all-star game festivities.

The list of those playing is headlined by stars from the sports and entertainment industry, including those with ties to Dallas-Fort Worth.

Philadelphia 76ers point guard and Dallas native, Tyrese Maxey will participate as well as ex-Dallas Cowboy and Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens. Television star Gina Rodriguez will also play alongside Tyler Toney from Dude Perfect.

Baseball Hall of Famer and World Series champion Pedro Martinez will also be in the lineup.

The game will be played on June 13 at Globe Life Field alongside the MLB All-Star Futures game and skill showcase as a part of All-Star Saturday with gates opening at 1 p.m.

Tickets for All-Star Saturday can be bought for $35 on the MLB’s website.
