Montreal police investigate SQ shooting in Plessisville

Montreal police are on the scene of a Sunday morning shooting in Plessisville, Que., that involved a Sûreté du Québec officer.

A man was shot by police after allegedly ramming his car into parked police cars at an SQ station in the town southeast of Trois-Rivières.

"The man was injured with at least one gunshot and taken to hospital, where his life is not in danger," said Const. Anie Lemieux of Montreal police.

Whenever a person is injured or killed in an altercation with police, another police force is called in to investigate.
