Montreal police looking for vehicle, witnesses in hit and run

Investigators are looking for a small dark car they believe was involved in a hit and run left a 30-year-old man from Florida in critical condition Saturday morning.

Montreal police released 45 seconds of video surveillance footage Sunday, encouraging witnesses or anyone with information to contact the force.

In the video, the car can be seen leaving the parking lot and police say the car headed north on St-Laurent Boulevard.

The man was lying unconscious when police were called to the lot on the corner of De Maisonneuve and St-Laurent boulevards shortly after he was struck.

They say he sustained severe head injuries and they fear for his life.​

An analysis of the scene by the Montreal police's collision unit determined the vehicle may be responsible.

People can be seen in the frame and investigators believe witnesses were present at the time of the hit and run.
