The most successful players and WAGS in the NFL ranked
The successful women and top football players who have coupled up.
Taylor Swift is arguably the richest, most influential WAG the NFL has ever known.
Here are the most valuable — in the very literal sense of the word — couples in the NFL.
At the beginning of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship, many Swifties got a lot of mileage from joking to their football-loving partners that the pop icon had put the Kansas City Chiefs player on the map.
But Kelce was already a superstar in his own right when Swift introduced him to her legions of fans. Not only did he help lead the Chiefs Kingdom to Super Bowl victory last year — the team’s second win in the previous four seasons — but he is considered one of the best tight ends in league history.
But Swift and Kelce aren’t the only impressive duo connected to the NFL whose combined influence extends far beyond the football field.
From quarterback Russell Wilson and R&B singer Ciara to rising star wide receiver Braxton Berrios and TikTok "it girl" Alix Earle, here are the most valuable — in the very literal sense of the word — couples in the NFL.
1. Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift
The singer-songwriter sensation and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end have amassed an eye-watering fortune between them as they continue to operate at the top of their game in their respective fields.
In the almost two decades since the release of her debut album in 2006, Taylor Swift, 34, has built a $1.1 billion-dollar empire. A Bloomberg News analysis published in October, said the pop star's record-breaking Eras Tour cemented her status in the billionaire class.
As for Travis Kelce, 34, he's been an unrelenting force in the NFL and earned a fortune as one of the league's most dominant players. According to Spotrac, Kelce has taken home north of $77 million over his 11-year career with the Chiefs and is estimated to make $12.3 million this season alone.
What's more, since they went public with their relationship in September 2023, Swift and Kelce have made the NFL even more popular and profitable in the US.
2. Russell Wilson and Ciara
The stellar careers of Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife of eight years, the R&B singer Ciara, have made them one of the most successful couples across sports and entertainment.
Wilson is now one of the highest-paid players in the league, according to Spotrac. He made just over $181 million during his 10 years with the Seattle Seahawks, during which he reached two Super Bowls.
He's two years into his $242.5 million, five-year contract with the Broncos, which he signed in 2022. So far, he's earned $88 million of that, and should he finish out that contract in full, he'll have made nearly $500 million from his NFL salaries alone by 2028.
Ciara, meanwhile, has enjoyed an impressive career and made a significant fortune in her own right. She's sold more than 23 million records and 22 million singles across her career, the American Music Awards reported. She's also bolstered her income through acting, modeling, and launching her beauty brand.
Since becoming a couple in 2015, they have built a flourishing life together and used their combined millions to invest in several joint business opportunities. These include the production company Why Not You Productions and The House of LR&C, a fashion house.
3. Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld
Josh Allen's journey from overlooked high school prospect to NFL superstar is the kind of Hollywood story his girlfriend Hailee Steinfeld might read about in her film scripts.
But the Buffalo Bills quarterback has proven himself to have one of the strongest arms in football, having made two Pro Bowls in his six seasons with the team. His success on the field has translated to incredible financial reward, with the Bills signing him on to a new six-year, $258 million contract with $150 million guaranteed in 2021.
Allen has taken home an impressive $113 million from the Bills so far, a number he'll more than double over the next five years if he sees his contract through to the end.
As for Steinfeld, she's had a glittering career. Following on from her breakthrough role in "True Grit," which earned her an Academy Award nod, she's flourished in both the acting and music industries. She was tapped to join the MCU in 2020 and has released several RIAA platinum-certified singles.
4. Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles
Jonathan Owens said in December that he considers himself "the catch" in his relationship with Olympian Simone Biles, but we're not so sure.
While the Green Bay Packers safety has had a noteworthy career since starting as an undrafted free agent in 2018, having earned over $3.2 million in the last five years, his wife brings home the big bucks.
Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history, is among the highest-paid women in sports and the only gymnast to rank among the highest-paid women athletes in more than a decade, per Forbes.
In 2021, the outlet estimated she made $5 million annually off endorsements with brands like Athleta, GK Elite, Kellogg's, Uber Eats, and Visa. In 2022 — the year before she married Owens — she was named one of the highest-paid female athletes of the year and had doubled her off-field revenue to $10 million.
5. Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo
During his career, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey has been one of the NFL's most dynamic and versatile players. When he was first signed by the Carolina Panthers in 2017, he managed to wrangle quite the rookie contract, which included a $10.7 million signing bonus and a lucrative four-year deal.
His value as a player was cemented when the Panthers traded him to the 49ers in 2023. McCaffrey has signed various endorsements and sponsorship deals off the field, adding to his impressive net worth.
Another factor that has elevated McCaffrey's profile is his relationship with former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo; the couple have been dating since 2019 and announced their engagement in April 2023.
Since landing her pageant title in 2012, Culpo has moved into the fashion-influencing sphere and has grown a substantial following on social media. Outside this, she has multiple revenue streams, including modeling, acting, restauranteering, and presenting (she co-hosted the last two Miss Universe pageants).
For this year's Super Bowl in Nevada, Las Vegas, Culpo bought her future mother-in-law a suite at the Allegiant Stadium, which cost between $1.4 million and $2.5 million on average, according to Suite Experience Group.
6. Braxton Berrios and Alix Earle
Braxton Berrios and Alix Earle have only recently made an impact in their careers. After being drafted by the New England Patriots in 2018, the wide receiver had a quiet few years, including a stint at the New York Jets, before landing a $1.5 million deal with the Miami Dolphins in 2023.
Since then, his career has been on an upward swing; he made his first playoff appearance with the Dolphins this year, and across the 2023 season, he brought in 27 receptions for 238 yards and a touchdown.
Berrios' girlfriend has also had an impressive 12-months. The 22-year-old construction company heiress has become TikTok's de facto "it girl," thanks to her relatable but glamourous get-ready-with-me videos, which have earned more than six million followers
Her lucrative brand deals with Benefit Cosmetics, L'Oreal, and WaWa can be attributed to the fact that followers often rush to buy her fashion recommendations, a phenomenon coined the "Alix Earle Effect."
According to Forbes, who named her on their Top Creators and 30 Under 30 Miami lists, Earle made $5 million last year.
