Motorcyclist dies after crash with SUV, building in downtown Bradenton, police say

A motorcycle rider died in a crash in downtown Bradenton on Sunday, Bradenton Police Department spokesperson Meredith Censullo said.

Police were called to the wreck in the 1100 block of 14th Street shortly before noon, Censullo said.

Police say that the motorcycle struck a small SUV before veering off the street and hitting a building. The motorcyclist died as a result.

The occupants of the SUV were uninjured, police said.

The motorcyclist’s identity was not released to the public.

Part of 14th Street West was closed to traffic in both directions on Sunday afternoon while police investigated the crash.

The street was reopened as of 4:20 p.m.
