Mum Caught Stuffing Her Baby Inside Hand Luggage To Avoid Paying For Plane Ticket

A woman was caught trying to stash her own baby into hand luggage in an attempt to not have to pay for a plane ticket.

The unnamed mother had already boarded the Air France flight from Turkey to Paris when a nearby passenger noticed the woman’s bag moving.

After it moved for a second time the passenger realised something was not quite right and spoke to a member of the cabin crew to tell them what they had seen.

An eyewitness told Planet.fr: “The cloth bag belonged to a woman sitting at the back of the unit.

"At one point, she wanted to open it and her neighbour on the other row seats saw that something was moving inside.”

A stewardess who investigated the bag was shocked to discover the source of the movement was a two-year-old baby stuffed inside.

The tot’s mother did not have a ticket for the baby and it appeared she had tried to get out of paying for one by hiding her child.

Both mother and baby were taken to the front of the plane.

An Air France spokesman said an investigation into the incident was underway, adding: “The company requested the presence of the French authorities to flight arrival and fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation by the competent authorities.”
