N.W.T. election recounts leave Range Lake, Yellowknife North winners unchanged

N.W.T. election recounts in two Yellowknife ridings have not changed the outcomes, though the vote counts in Range Lake changed slightly.

The judicial recount held Monday for Range Lake found Caroline Cochrane-Johnson received 333 votes while incumbent Daryl Dolynny received 328 votes. The original vote counts had Cochrane-Johnson leading with 335 votes versus 325 for Dolynny.

Elections NWT said the numbers of votes cast for the top two candidates in Yellowknife North did not change after that recount held today. There, Cory Vanthuyne took a narrow win with 392 votes to Dan Wong's 376.

Yesterday's recount for the Nunakput riding confirmed Herb Nakimayak's win over incumbent MLA and former Speaker Jackie Jacobson.
