Naomi Campbell has no problem being open about experiencing symptoms of perimenopause.

In an episode of the upcoming four-part docuseries The Super Models, the 53-year-old is seen on set for a photoshoot when she gets a “pre-menopausal hot flush.”

"I think I’m going through menopause. It's pre-menopause," she said as she started to get flustered. Perimenopause refers to the time where the body starts to make its natural transition to menopause, which marks the end of a woman's reproductive years.

During the hot flash, the supermodel was asked if she needed help to cool down.

“There’s nothing you can do. It just happens. S—, Lord,” Campbell replied, adding that she felt like she “just got into a furnace.”

“One minute, I’m fine. Next minute, just this furnace comes up,” the mom of two added. “Why do men not get menopause?"

Director Larissa Bill spoke to the Daily Mail and she praised Campbell for her transparency about menopause on the show.

"It's such a real moment, isn't it? To see these women in these moments where you're like, ‘Oh, that's so relatable… and that's Naomi Campbell.’” she told the outlet. “It's so amazing."

Most women reach menopause — confirmed when 12 months have elapsed without a period — between the ages of 40 and 58, but symptoms can begin years earlier.

In addition to hot flashes, symptoms include irregular periods, sleep problems, vaginal dryness, weight gain, mood changes, loss of bone density and cholesterol levels — some of which come on gradually.

The Super Models will premiere globally on September 20 on Apple TV+.
