‘Next Level Chef’ & ‘The Floor’ Post Strong Viewership For Fox Ahead Of Midseason Scripted Premieres
EXCLUSIVE: Fox is surely celebrating the return of several scripted series this week, like The Cleaning Lady and Alert: Missing Persons Unit, but they don’t want anyone to forget about all that unscripted programming either.
The network’s first two months of the year were largely helped by the strong performance of Next Level Chef and The Floor.

Since its post-NFC Championship premiere, Season 3 of Next Level Chef has been growing consistently in the two-day streaming window on Hulu.
Particularly, Episode 6 marked NLC‘s most-streamed day this season with 716,000 “starts,” according to Fox. This doesn’t exactly indicate how many people watched the episode, and, since it doesn’t factor in completion rate, it’s hard to tell what the viewership is actually like. However, the growth is clear, since Fox also mentioned Episode 2 received 532,000 “starts” in that same viewing period.
Fox says that 1.8M unique Hulu subscribers have collectively streamed 4.7M hours (284M minutes) of Next Level Chef Season 3 to-date on the platform. Across all platforms, the series has collected 1.5B minutes of viewing season-to-date.
Next Level Chef is Fox’s most-streamed unscripted series this season-to-date, and it claims the largest multiplatform audience of any non-animated Fox series this season.
The network says that, on Hulu, the series managed to draw 75,000 new unique subscribers per day from January 28 to February 18.
Then there’s The Floor, which wrapped its inaugural season on February 27. Those final two episodes have since generated a series-high 1.6M “starts” in four days of availability on Hulu, giving the series its most-streamed day on Hulu so far.
On average, over the 47 days since The Floor began streaming on Hulu, it has drawn more than 42,000 new unique subscribers per day.
To-date, the Rob Lowe-led game show has collected more than 2.2B viewing minutes across all platforms for Season 1. On Hulu, 2.3M unique subscribers have streamed 6.8M hours (or 410M minutes) of the game show.
The Floor has yet to be renewed for another season, though it seems like Fox is pretty happy with its performance thus far, which would bode well for a renewal.
