Nicki Minaj Pops in Whimsical Yellow 3D Floral Marni Minidress on Met Gala 2024 Red Carpet
Nicki Minaj embraced the Met Gala 2024’s theme, “The Garden of Time,” quite literally. The rapper attended the event on Monday in New York City, wearing a 3D floral-embellished minidress from Marni.
Minaj’s look was custom-made by the brand’s creative designer, Francesco Risso, who accompanied her on the red carpet. The bright yellow minidress featured an artistic finish reminiscent of oil paintings and flower sculptures in different colors popping out of it.

Minaj added floral accents to her hair and completed the look with a matching yellow handbag and yellow shoes.
Nicki Minaj debuted on the Met Gala red carpet in 2013 wearing a navy blue dress from Tommy Hilfiger. Since then, she has worn Prabal Gurung and Oscar de la Renta at the event. She last attended the event in 2022, when she accompanied Burberry’s former creative director Riccardo Tisci.
The rapper wasn’t the only one wearing Marni at the Met Gala 2024. Singer Charli XCX donned a punk-inspired dress from the brand for the occasion.
The Met Gala raises funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and celebrates the Costume Institute’s annual exhibits. This year’s theme, “The Garden of Time,” nods to the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibit, which will open to the public on Friday. The 2024 event is notably cochaired by Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour.
