Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is marking the fourth anniversary of Nova Scotia's mass shooting by remembering the 22 victims killed by a gunman disguised as a Mountie.

He says strength can be found in the spirit and resilience of the survivors, families of the victims, Nova Scotians, and all Canadians who were affected by the tragedy.

The killer was finally shot dead by two Mounties who happened to stop a gas station north of Halifax. (9)

(Labour-Politics)

Canadian Labour Congress president Bea Bruske (BRUH'-sk) is calling Pierre Poilievre a ``fraud'' for portraying himself as a friend of the working class.

She told union leaders meeting in Ottawa they must do everything they can to expose Poilievre before the next federal election.

Delegates are plotting strategy ahead of the vote, and will hear from both N-D-P Leader Jagmeet Singh and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau -- but Poilievre was not invited to speak. (9)

A juror in Donald Trump's hush money trial was dismissed this morning after she told court she wasn't sure she could be fair and impartial, and now there are concerns about another juror.

Prosecutors say they found an article from the 1990s about a man with the same name as the juror being arrested for tearing down political ads in suburban Westchester County.

On Tuesday the man told court he did not have a criminal record.

He's now been called back to the courthouse for more questioning.

Prosecutors have also asked for Trump to held in contempt and fined over a series of social media posts this week. (9)

(US-Starbucks-New-Cups)

Starbucks is going to roll out new disposable cups that contain up to 20 per cent less plastic at its stores in Canada and the U-S later this month.

Booming sales of cold drinks have created a problem -- growing amounts of plastic waste from the single-use cups that Frappuccinos, Refreshers, cold brews and other iced drinks are served in.

Starbucks' vice president of product innovation says the new cups are part of a sustainability push that has seen it accept customer-provided cups for drive-thru and mobile orders in the U-S and Canada. (9)
