Regular subway service resumed on Line 2 Tuesday after an earlier incident at a west-end station shut down a stretch of track during the morning rush hour.

Trains started running again between Keele and St. George stations shortly after 9 a.m., the TTC said.

An "injury on the tracks" at Ossington Station, first reported at 6:18 a.m., meant the transit agency had to halt service from Keele to St. George and rely on shuttle buses instead.

A TTC spokesperson did not provide any further information about the incident at Ossington.

Trains were also bypassing St. George for a time due to overcrowding, but are once again stopping at the station.
