New North Texas Chick-fil-A restaurant opens Thursday, adding to 400+ Texas locations

A new Chick-fil-A restaurant will begin serving Duncanville residents on Thursday, joining more than 100 Chick-fil-A restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Chick-fil-A Hwy 67 & Wintergreen, located at 300 W Highway 67, will be open for dine-in and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and drive-thru from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The location, which will be owned and operated by Joseph Morris, will employ 120 full- and part-time workers.

Morris began working at Chick-fil-A when he was 14 years old, at the Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There, Morris was selected for a Chick-fil-A scholarship that supported his college education. He then entered the interim manager program and opened his first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Mesa, Arizona. Two years later, Morris opened another in Westlake Village, California. In 2017, Morris moved back home to Texas to open one in Cedar Hill, a few miles from the Duncanville location. Morris will continue to operate the Cedar Hill along with the Duncanville location.

“A big reason why I pursued a career at Chick-fil-A is because of the impact and influence that operators had on me when I was a young team member,” Morris said in a press release. “I am thrilled to nurture and grow the next generation of Chick-fil-A leaders as well as improve our guest experience by expanding to this second location.”

To celebrate the opening of the new location, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. Chick-fil-A Hwy 67 & Wintergreen will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local nonprofits. The restaurant will recognize 100 “local heroes” making an impact in the Duncanville area, providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.

You can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. Visit chick-fil-a.com/delivery for delivery options in your area. Chick-fil-A One members receive points on qualifying purchases, which can be used to redeem rewards.
