Once Thanksgiving is over, the turkey is no longer the animal that's the star of the show!

That's because November's full moon called the Beaver Moon rises at the end of the month and reaches its peak at 4:16 a.m. ET. on Nov. 27, 2023.

Nicknamed after the semiaquatic rodents who begin to take shelter this time of year ahead of the winter season, this month's moon began its evolution towards its fullest phase after the new moon rose on Nov. 13.

Marking the beginning of the lunar cycle, new moons typically occur once a month since the moon takes approximately 29.5 days to orbit the Earth, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac. In contrast to full moon appearances, new moons blend in with the dark night sky.

Celebrity astrologer Kyle Thomas tells PEOPLE the Beaver Moon is going to be a full moon in Gemini, the zodiac sign that "rules communication, technology and short-distance travel." He says its energy is likely to "stimulate our minds to connect with others, while "the pace of life will quicken rapidly."

Interestingly, Thomas — who's known for his cosmic guidance for celebrities, business executives and prominent influencers — tells PEOPLE that events that happen near this full moon "will be directly connected to the situations and events" from a specific day of the past.

Specifically, Thomas references the time around "the new moon in Gemini on June 18, 2023." Therefore, he says to "look back to the situations, events, interactions and plans you were involved with around then, as you will likely see similar themes emerge in the days near this full moon."

To find out what November's full moon could mean for you based on your zodiac sign, per Thomas' suggestions, read on!
