Now serving: ice cream and pickleball. Dessert shop opens at JoCo entertainment center

Sugar Bomb — with the tagline “Everything is a little sweeter here!” — is the latest container eatery to open in Overland Park’s Serv entertainment center.

The dessert shop offers six ice cream flavors from The Golden Scoop: Vanilla, Golden Crunch (a cereal milk ice cream made from Cinnamon Toast Crunch), cookies and cream, Charlie’s chocolate, Strawberry Fields Forever, and Lucy’s 41 (dairy-free vanilla).

It operates the eateries in shipping containers which serve such items as barbecue, tacos, burgers, pizza and wings.

“We can’t have pizza, burgers and wings without ice cream, especially in the summertime,” said Bryan Sparks, manager. “I love watching entire soccer teams come after their games and chow down on ice cream.”
