How old are the 2024 presidential candidates? Full list of ages for Biden, Trump and more
Age has played a key role in the 2024 presidential election, with President Joe Biden turning 81 of Monday and former President Donald Trump, 77, remaining the dominant frontrunner in the Republican primary race.
Biden himself has often joked about his age as he tries to turn one of his weaknesses among voters into a punchline. At an event in late June, he called himself “198 years old,” and on Monday, he told reporters that it's "difficult" to turn 60.
Trump on the other hand, has received criticism from his GOP rivals over his age. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took a shot at Trump in an interview Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” saying “The presidency is not a job for somebody that is pushing 80 years old.”
