The model told PEOPLE she has "a lot" of "nerves and excitement" ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl
Olivia Culpo is her fiancé Christian McCaffrey’s biggest cheerleader!
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the Formula 1 team x Visa Cash App RB party in Las Vegas on Thursday, Culpo, 31, praised McCaffrey, 27, and his preparations for the 2024 Super Bowl.
“I feel like it’s just a crazy moment because it’s the accumulation of so much hard work and energy. He’s such a great person, he’s such a hard worker, there’s nobody in the world that deserves it more than him,” Culpo tells PEOPLE of the San Francisco 49ers running back.
Adding that she has a “lot of nerves” and a “lot of excitement” ahead of the matchup between the 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, the model continues, “First and foremost we’re very grateful and I always just want him to come out healthy and happy.”

The Miss Universe host and former winner also revealed that she’s able to talk to McCaffrey “all the time” during the run-up to the game.
“You’d be surprised, they have a lot of time where they’re doing recovery and they want to be on their phones,” she told PEOPLE. “I think social media, he tries to stay off of that, but as far as texting friends and family it’s what keeps him going.”
Culpo’s comments come after she attended the NFL Honors on Thursday, which saw McCaffrey named offensive player of the year.
The model posted a video on her Instagram Story Thursday night that showed her fiance accepting the award on stage at the event.
"So many reasons to celebrate you. Proud fiance over here," she wrote across the clip — which appeared to have been filmed from a spot backstage — adding some sweet emoji.
A second backstage video of McCaffrey's speech shared on Culpo's Instagram Story was captioned with another sweet message.
"No one more deserving than you @christianmccaffrey," Culpo wrote.
She then posted a shot that saw her posing alongside McCaffrey and his parents, Ed McCaffrey and Linda McCaffrey, writing "Family," across the image.
Other photos posted on Culpo's Instagram Story included a sweet couple shot of her sitting on Christian's lap, which she captioned, "Total of 2 hours together but I'll take what I can get," and added a heart emoji. The model also posted a close-up shot of the couple's attire for the night — her in a Victoria Beckham gown and Christian in a Dior suit.

Earlier this week, McCaffrey praised her for giving up “so much” during his Super Bowl run.
“She’s sacrificed so much and I think all the wives do, but it's tough, especially in season, a lot of late nights, a lot of time at the facilities,” the sportsman told reporters of Culpo at the Super Bowl LVIII Opening Night event at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Monday.
“She obviously is so successful in the world right now in her career, and to see her support me the way she does it means the world to me … and hopefully I can return the favor,” he added.
The couple became engaged in April 2023 after nearly four years of dating. McCaffrey got down on one knee while the pair was on a getaway in Utah with a ring designed by Ring Concierge.
Shortly after she shared the happy news on her Instagram, Culpo told PEOPLE she was "so excited" to be marrying McCaffrey.
