Ore. Women Accused of Killing Husband Found Dead Amid Search

Police previously identified Analiesa Golde as a suspect in the January murder of her husband Phillip E. Pierce

An Oregon woman suspected of killing her husband last month was found dead during a search for her, authorities said.

Analiesa Golde apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a Wednesday statement from the Portland Police Bureau. The discovery was made Tuesday in Long Beach, Wash., where authorities also recovered her Toyota 4Runner.

Golde had been wanted on a second-degree murder charge in connection with the January death of her husband, 37-year-old Phillip E. Pierce, in Portland, Ore., police said.

Pierce, who had been reported missing, was found dead on Jan. 26 by police officers who responded to his Portland home to complete a welfare check, the statement reads.

“Suspicious circumstances at the scene led officers to notify Homicide Unit detectives, who responded to the scene to investigate,” police said, adding that the case was considered a homicide investigation.

Soon after, Golde was identified as a murder suspect but her whereabouts were unknown. Police described her as armed and dangerous and asked the public to be on the lookout for her and her Toyota 4Runner.

Two weeks ago, police expanded their search to southwest Wash. and believed she was in the areas of Toutle or Mount St. Helens.

“The Portland Police Bureau would like to thank the community for assistance with this case,” police said Wednesday.

Speaking with local station KOIN on Feb. 18, Pierce’s mother described her son as a lovable person.

“He’s loved by a lot of folks,” Stacy Pierce said, per the outlet. “A lot of people are missing him right now.”

Authorities have not shared a possible motive for the homicide.
