Ottawa man charged with luring teens online

A 33-year-old Ottawa man has been charged with luring teens under the age of 18 online and police believe there could be other victims.

On Oct. 1, Ottawa police received a report that an adult man was luring teens on the Internet.

An investigation revealed that the man had met up with one of the teens, police said in a media release issued Monday.

The 33-year-old was charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference, two counts of child luring and three counts of breaching a court order after other offences involving children under 16.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

Investigators with the Ottawa police sexual assault and child abuse unit are concerned there could be other victims.
