Paris Fashion Week Just Put on Its Most Outrageous Show of 2024: See All the Jaw-Dropping Photos
Celebrity-loved designer Robert Wun displayed a collection of macabre moments down the runway during his Paris Fashion Week show on Thursday
Designer Robert Wun debuted a jaw-dropping, horror-inspired collection at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week — and we can't stop looking at the photos.
The best of the best in couture revealed their spring/summer 2024 creations in the City of Lights and on Thursday, Wun showcased possibly the goriest of them all.
The Hong Kong-born, London-based courtier — whose designs have been worn by Beyoncé, Tracee Ellis Ross and Noah Cyrus, who attended the show — is known for his fearless imagination. Previously he’s featured taboo imagery and concepts on the runway, such as knives as accessories and a scorched wedding dress (a look worn by Rawdah Mohamed at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival).
This time around, Wun's creations were a crossover between the wardrobes of American Horror Story and Beetlejuice, culminating in one grand lineup of pieces splashed with fake blood, umbrellas hats, talon manicures and more.
Ahead, see the looks that we think murdered the runway.
Macabre Meets Matrimony
If you look closer, the model's "blood"-stained gown and veil are intricately decorated with red jewel-like embellishments. Plus, this indicates that bridal-white stockings are about to dominate 2024 trends.
Dominatrix Dresses Dominate
A ton of all-black, leather-looking ensembles hit the runway including this corset gown with flared vampy sleeves and pointed shoulders, teamed with a lengthy matte black manicure. The pièce de résistance — a shock-inducing black mask.
Couture on the Brain
Wun topped one of his looks with a gruesome accessory: a white hat made to look like brains, as interpreted by fashion commentator @hautelemode. Adding to the drama: the sparkly faux blood-stained tear trickling down the model's cheek.
Flamin' Hot Fashion
Another standout gown was this design with flame motifs spreading across the sheer bodice, on the gloves and a full face covering.
Eye Spy
Wun is an expert at bold headpieces. The hand-over-eyes design was paired with a sculptural white dress with oversize floral burst appliqués.
Everything Red
Red is having a moment across the board, from the runway to the red carpet. Here, Wun introduced the popular color to his glam à la slicked-back hairstyles bejeweled with red gems, crimson talon nails and smudged ruby lipstick.
Two Is Better Than One
Above: the most American Horror Story catwalk concept ever. This complex dress featured a mannequin-like attachment on the back, making for the ultimate spine-chilling moment.
Make It Rain
No umbrella? No problem. Wun's hats strike the perfect balance between fashion and function.
