Pedro Pascal Jokes That Kieran Culkin Is Responsible For His Shoulder Injury At Emmys: ‘Succession’ Star “Beat The S**t Out Of” Him

Pedro Pascal has gotten his revenge.

After losing out to Succession‘s Kieran Culkin recently at the Golden Globes, in the category of TV Actor — Drama, and being told by Culkin to “suck it,” Pascal hit back at tonight’s Primetime Emmy Awards.

While at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Monday night to present the award for Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, Pascal noted that he’s been asked quite a bit how he hurt his arm, given the fact that it’s currently in a sling. But it’s not his arm but his shoulder that’s injured, he explained.

The source of his injury? Culkin “beat the s**t out of” him, Pascal joked, before presenting an Emmy to Matthew Macfadyen for his turn as Tom Wambsgans on Succession.

In all seriousness, the cause of Pascal’s injury was a simple fall, he previously told AP, “which can happen to anybody.” His recovery process is not expected to delay production on Season 2, which is poised to kick off next month for a 2025 launch.

If the actor is hoped for another chance to punk Culkin, he got one later on this evening when the award for Lead Actor in a Drama Series was handed out, though the Succession star won tonight, as well.

Others nominated opposite Pascal, who stars as Joel in HBO’s acclaimed video game adaptation The Last of Us, included Succession‘s Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong, The Old Man‘s Jeff Bridges, and Better Call Saul‘s Bob Odenkirk.
