Pepsi Launches New Lime, Berry and Mango Flavors — Here's How They Actually Taste

Pepsi has some berry exciting news.

The cola company announced the addition of three new flavors made with a splash of fruit juice: Pepsi Berry, Pepsi Lime and Pepsi Mango. The cans, which sport a sleek, color-block design, are available at retailers nationwide now through June 14, but will stay on shelves thereafter at Walmart and Target.

Berry, lime and mango join the pre-existing flavors of Vanilla and Wild Cherry Pepsi, but are the first from the company to be made with real juice.

PEOPLE staffers got a first taste of the new sodas and, to quote Pepsi spokesperson Cardi B, we thought they were okurrr. The mango and berry have a pleasantly fruity flavor that will remind you of the beach without yourself on a tropical vacation. In case of the mango, the smell is actually much more intense than the taste, which is more subtle.

Pepsi Lime was the favorite among our editors. Though we expected a slightly artificial taste, the flavor tastes as if there’s a freshly squeeze citrus wedge inside each can—no more slicing and dicing.

The soda industry as gotten a fruity infusion as of late. In February, Coca-Cola announced the first new flavor in over a decade with Orange Vanilla Coke and Orange Vanilla Coke Zero Sugar.

Pepsi also made headlines earlier this year with their Super Bowl commercial starring Steve Carell, Cardi B and Lil Jon. The rapper’s 30-second commercial pictures her playfully reassuring diner customers that Pepsi is, in fact, okay to drink … though it takes them a bit to understand what sound she’s making.
