‘That’s perfect.’ Kevin Costner tries a banana milkshake from Cook Out

Go ahead and count superstar actor Kevin Costner among the legions of Cook Out fans.

Mustachioed like a cowboy and with the iconic styrofoam cup in hand, Costner took one sip of a banana milkshake from Cook Out, the beloved North Carolina-based fast food chain, and declared it “perfect.”

In an Instagram ad promoting the movie “Horizon: An American Saga,” the actor and director’s latest western epic, Costner did a taste test of several banana milkshakes in several different American cities.

The “Yellowstone” star didn’t say that Cook Out’s was the best, but he took a sip and smiled.

“That’s perfect,” Costner said. “It’s really good.”

According to the video, Costner is a banana milkshake aficionado. He tried the Cook Out banana milkshake in Atlanta, but it’s unclear from the post when exactly he did this taste test.

Costner is undoubtedly familiar with the delicacies of North Carolina, having starred as Crash Davis in the Oscar nominated minor league baseball movie “Bull Durham.”

In the Instagram post, it’s clear that some time has passed since Costner’s milkshake was ordered, as the movie star’s milkshake has melted enough to be sucked through a straw. Everyone knows it’s usually only possible to eat a Cook Out milkshake with a spoon.
