Photographer Captures 'Angel' Atop Beam Of Light During 9/11 Anniversary Tributes

The Tribute in Light at the World Trade Center, in memory of the lives lost at the site 15 years ago, was a moving event.

But one photographer found another world of meaning when his picture of the light show revealed what looked a lot like an angel atop one of the beams.

New Jersey snapper Rich McCormack captured the image last Friday night, describing it as “a vision of the Lord (Jesus) with his arms folded”, though others have said it looks like everything from an angel to - less movingly - aliens.

Rich shared the image on his Facebook page, where it quickly went viral.

The freelance photographer instructed those viewing the image to “zoom in to the top of the beam do you see something”.

He added that no photoshop wizardry was involved in the shot, saying he took many pictures “and only one showed this image”.

Never forget: The Tribute in Light was a moving event (Caters)

Many felt moved that the heavenly image was a sign of someone on high looking down on the site of the Twin Towers.

Norma Cheryda Aguila-Valdaliso wrote: “This has left me with so much faith… God is watching over us.”

Yvette Cid said: “That’s an awesome pic wow I lost my two boys and I believe this is a sign to all that have lost a love one!!!”
