A UNC-Chapel Hill faculty member was killed Monday after a shooting on campus.
The Chapel Hill, North Carolina campus and area schools were locked down as police looked for an “armed and dangerous person” near campus.
UNC Police released a photo of a “person of interest” who was wanted in the investigation and made an arrest about 2:38 p.m.
An all-clear message was issued at 4:14 p.m., and the lockdown was lifted.
Police have not identified the suspect or the person who was shot.
