Road work on Highway 101 caused traffic to slow to a crawl Tuesday morning in northern San Luis Obispo County.
Scheduled work by PG&E teams on trees along Highway 101 closed the No. 1 southbound lane from Main Street to San Ramon Road in Templeton, according to a California Highway Patrol post on X.
As of 10:52 p.m., southbound traffic was moving slowly, with traffic bottlenecked through Templeton and the delay extending north of town toward Paso Robles, according to Caltrans’ QuickMap.
An end time for the maintenance work had not been announced by Caltrans or CHP.
Traveling through Templeton on US-101 Southbound? Expect some delays from Main Street to San Ramon Road. Cal-trans is working on the road, making the #1 traffic lane out of service for a while. We appreciate your caution and patience during this time! #TrafficUpdate pic.twitter.com/2SunUdgBwe
