Police have been granted more time to question a woman arrested on suspicion of murder.

Emergency services were called to an address in Strawberry Fields, Easterton, near Devizes, shortly after 20:00 BST on Tuesday, after reports of a stabbing.

A man, aged in his 40s, died at the scene, Wiltshire Police said.

The woman, who is in her 50s and believed to be known to the victim, was arrested by officers shortly after and police have now been granted a custody extension of 36 hours.

The force said a cordon remains in place at the property while it continues to investigate. There is no wider risk to the public.

Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to contact police.
