Police identify Biloxi murder suspects arrested during stop on I-10 bridge
Two suspects wanted in a deadly shooting in Biloxi were taken into custody Monday after authorities stopped them on the eastbound Interstate 10 long bridge over the Pascagoula River in Jackson County, police said.
Biloxi police identified the two suspects as Rashod Omrion Jerome Harris, 19, of Biloxi, and Harry Lavern Hillard, 17, of Gulfport, arrested on charges of capital murder and aggravated assault.
The pair are accused in the early Saturday morning shooting death of Damari Daniels, 20.
Daniels died of multiple gunshot wounds at the shooting scene in the McDonnell Avenue Apartments parking lot in Biloxi.
Biloxi police found a second person shot during the encounter at a nearby home. The second shooting victim was taken to a hospital in New Orleans for treatment of serious injuries, police said.
The shooting happened around 1:20 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of McConnell Avenue.
Justice Court Judge Nick Patano denied bond for both suspects arrested Monday.
Biloxi police are continuing their investigation.
