Polling stations will open across Wales at 07:00 BST for voting in the UK general election.

A total of 235 candidates are standing across 32 Welsh constituencies, with all but the Anglesey seat of Ynys Môn being contested under new boundaries.

The changes follow a review which reduced the number of Welsh seats at Westminster by eight, to even out voter numbers in UK constituencies.

Voters are required to bring photo ID with them and will have until 22:00 BST to cast their ballot.

Counting will take place overnight with the first results in Wales expected to be declared after around 02:00 BST Friday.

There will be full coverage of those results and what they mean on BBC One Wales, Radio Wales, S4C, Radio Cymru, the BBC news website and Cymru Fyw.
