Popular Myrtle Beach seafood and steakhouse catches fire, forcing it to close

A popular Myrtle Beach seafood and steakhouse caught fire Saturday morning, forcing the restaurant to close.

The Myrtle Beach Fire Department responded to Carolina Roadhouse, 4617 N. Kings Highway, at 10:20 a.m. for a fire that occurred in the HVAC unit on the restaurant’s roof, according to Capt. Jon Evans.

Evans said crews were able to put out the fire and there were no injuries.

However, the fire forced the restaurant to close for much of the day.

A person answering the phone said the restaurant reopened at 4 p.m. after an electrical fire.
