Prosecutor in Turcotte case faces charges
Quebec Crown prosecutor Claudia Carbonneau has been charged with several offences, including assault with a weapon and dangerous driving.
Carboneau, 45, was the Crown prosecutor in the case of Guy Turcotte, the Quebec cardiologist who stabbed his two children to death. A jury found Turcotte not criminally responsible because of a mental disorder.
Carbonneau appeared on Monday at St-Jérôme courthouse to face five charges connected to events earlier this year.
La Presse is reporting the charges against Carbonneau are linked to a personal domestic dispute.
She is expected to remain in custody at least until Friday when she's expected to have a bail hearing.
