The Queen Says Prince George & Princess Charlotte Picked Up This Naughty Habit

Just because they’re royal doesn’t mean Prince George and Princess Charlotte aren immune to making messes.

In a new documentary titled The Queen’s Green Planet, Queen Elizabeth casually discusses Christmastime at Buckingham Palace and reveals that her grandchildren picked up a naughty habit.

When Neil Turner, a senior castle attendant, tells the queen that he slaved over the perfectly decorated tree, she responds, “Yes, that is always the problem, is the children love knocking those [decorations] off.”

But have no fear, the queen also offers advice that may extend the life span of your ornaments. She adds, “And the great thing is to make them decorate it, and they’re a bit more careful.” Genius, indeed.

The good news is we aren’t the only ones who think the queen is a big ol’ ball of wisdom. Even Angelina Jolie, who has a cameo in the documentary, raves about her role model Queen Elizabeth.

The Queen’s Green Planet premieres on ITV on Monday, April 16. We. Can’t. Wait.
