This new seafood and boba tea restaurant is opening on the MS Coast. What to expect
It will be a few more weeks before the new Quickly 2 restaurant opens in downtown Ocean Springs, yet those who attend the Peter Anderson Festival this weekend will get a sneak peek.
Owners Annie and Emmanuel Albert partnered with Quakes Ice Creamery in Ocean Springs to create flavors most people in South Mississippi have never tried, Annie said,
Quickly specializes in boba tea, also known as bubble tea, at its original D’Iberville location. Together Quickly and Quakes will make and serve Thai tea ice cream and taro ice cream this weekend for people to try.
Offering the unexpected is the plan for this new restaurant, the Alberts said.
“We’re definitely trying to bring something different here,” Annie said.
Quickly 2 in Ocean Springs will serve some of the favorite dishes on the menu at the D’Iberville restaurant.
It also will go heavy on seafood, featuring crawfish, crab legs, shrimp, scallops and even clams, which are uncommon on menus in South Mississippi.
Look for Pho and ramen dishes to also be on the menu, Emmanuel said.
The restaurant is at a great location, he said, in what was Craft Advisory brewing. It’s just east of the new Murky Waters on Government Street and just down the street from OS 1515 hotel, a restaurant and event space under construction.
The spacious interior at Quickly has room for lots of tables and an oversize bar to handle a crowd. On the large patio, customers will be able to enjoy a meal or a snack amid the lively atmosphere of downtown.
