Raccoon charges at homeowner after getting chased of deck

A guy who was just trying to get a raccoon off his patio got a surprise when the creature fought back aggressively.

The homeowner was using a broom to scare the raccoon away from a storage box on a deck outside his home in New Jersey but in this video, things quickly turned into a battle.

It starts off with the homeowner tapping on the bin with the broom, while the raccoon pokes its head out.

After a few attempts, the raccoon finally springs out and launches at the owner, who shouts out an expletive as he smashes the broom down.

It appears the raccoon got scared and ran away.

But out of no where, the creature comes back and charges straight towards the homeowner, who knocks the camera over.

“Is this (are there) babies in there?” Asked the homeowner after he recovers from the attack and picks up the camera.

If it’s any indication the video just proves how aggressive a mother raccoon can get if she feels her babies are threatened.
