Rainfall warning ends for Uranium City, Camsell Portage, Sask.

The rainfall warning has ended for Uranium City and Camsell Portage, Sask.

According to Environment Canada, significant rainfall is no longer expected.

At least 40 millimetres of rain had already fallen overnight in Uranium City. A further 10 to 20 mm was expected to come down throughout the day.

The weather agency had previously warned that heavy downpours could cause flash floods, water pooling on roads and localized flooding in low-lying areas.

Periods of rain were also forecast in other parts of northern Saskatchewan today, with between five and 20 mm expected to fall in Fond-du-lac and Stony Rapids, Wollaston Lake and Collins Bay, as well as Southend, Brabant Lake and Kinoosao.
