Anyone who’s ever travelled with a young child knows they can certainly be a handful at times. That’s why a small gesture of goodwill between strangers on this particular flight was enough to a fellow passenger to tears.

A post on the Facebook page GAFollowers - Everything Georgia describes a scene on a flight to Georgia where passenger Angela Byrd had a front row seat to a random act of kindness. During the course of the trip, a pregnant woman travelling alone was attempting to deal with her young son, who became upset and started crying during flight.

That’s when a man got up from his seat and walked up to the expecting mother, not to start complaining about the noise, but rather to offer a helping hand.

“He told her that he was a DAD, and wanted to help her so she could rest. He walked the aisle most of the flight from Minneapolis to Atlanta comforting this woman’s son as if he was his own,” the post reads.

Being able to witness this stranger pitch in to help was apparently enough to move Byrd to tears, “…because it showed me today that there are still GOOD people out there in a world full of turmoil,“ she wrote.

It’s a story that provides a nice reminder that a little kindness certainly does go a long way.
