A Ravens fan going viral for dissing Taylor Swift & KC Chiefs turns out to be from NC
It turns out that a Baltimore Ravens fan behind a TikTok post going viral for Bad Blood against Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs is from North Carolina.
Ahead of Sunday’s AFC championship, TikToker @wehoopin posted a video dissing the pop star and the Super Bowl-bound football team, in support of his Baltimore Ravens. The post blew up online, with many other TikTokers stitching responses debunking and mocking his theatrics.
“My Ravens take on the Kansas City Chiefs and Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift I don’t like you. Tomorrow, Lamar Jackson puts an end to all this hype. I just left Target with your album. This is what I think about your music,” he said before slamming what at first appeared to be her 1989 vinyl album on the ground.
Of course, the real Swifties know the black record that shattered on the sidewalk wasn’t the actual album, which is tangerine in color.
Nonetheless, the video has thousands of negative comments calling the user out for his hatred against Taylor Swift, especially after her Lover Travis Kelce and his teammates ended up winning the game.
“Did Lamar Jackson put an end to it by crying or did I miss a part?” one person commented on the video.
Similar to a lot of other comments, another said: “He’s saving the actual vinyl to listen to later.”
But the Tiktoker’s videos slamming Swift and the Chiefs didn’t end there.
After the game, he posted another video lighting a Patrick Mahomes jersey and the 1989 album cover on fire.
“Ain’t nobody wanna watch this Super bowl bro…nobody! My God. Y’all ruined the sport I love,” he yelled in the video. “Nobody will be tuning into this Superbowl unfortunately. It was one versus three today. Ravens versus the refs versus the Chiefs versus the Taylor Swift. But it’s okay. We’ll be back. Promise you.”
Of course, Swifties came to the team’s defense with more clever comebacks against @wehoopin, pointing out that “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs.”
Who is @wehoopin?
Though he’s known online as a Ravens superfan, several Swifties soon discovered the Tiktoker isn’t even from Maryland. He’s from the Charlotte area.
According to the Methodist University athletics website, @wehoopin, also known as Cody Hazelton, is from Statesville and went to South Iredell High School.
The Charlotte Observer did reach out to Hazelton on Monday morning for comment, but he has not responded.
