Results are in. Braddock baseball standout voted Dade High School Athlete of the Week

Braddock baseball standout Luis Martinez is the Dade High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.

Martinez, a senior, went a combined 7 for 14 with six RBI, a walk-off homer and two stolen bases as the Bulldogs went 3-1 last week with wins over SLAM, TERRA and Archbishop Carroll.

On the season, Martinez is hitting .347 (26 for 75) with 15 RBI, 16 runs scored, five home runs, five doubles and one triple.

Braddock is 14-11.

Southwest baseball’s Albert Bell, Palmetto girls’ tennis’ Ameia Sorey, Mater Lakes boys’ volleyball’s Jesus Montes and True North boys’ tennis’ Brennan Chow rounded out this week’s participants.
