Breaking: Richland water main break shuts down Uptown bars and businesses
A broken water line emptied bars and closed other businesses at the Uptown Shopping Center on Friday night.
“We are closed temporarily until they turn our water on. All of tonight’s events on hold or postponed until further notice!” the Daisy Ranch Saloon posted about 8 p.m.
The country-themed night club, which took over the site of the former Towne Crier, is on the George Washington Way side of the plaza.
Bar managers said their water had to be shut off when a Richland water main burst.
“We should be open tomorrow as soon as they find the leak and cap it,” said the bar.
But not all businesses were closed.
Ray’s Golden Lion on the same side of the shopping center and the Emerald of Siam restaurant and lounge on the west side remained opened.
More information about the broken line and other closures were not immediately available Friday night.
