Rock Hill’s Omadeah Ford is The Herald’s high school athlete of the week.
The 5-foot-5 senior scored five points, had three rebounds, one block and one steal in a 51-33 win at Mauldin in third round of the 5A state playoffs, Feb. 19.
Ford also scored four points, had two rebounds, and two steals in a 52-50 victory over J.L. Mann in the 5A upper state championship game, Feb. 23.
Ford then recorded five points, three rebounds and a block in a 60-42 loss to Sumter in the 5A state championship game, March 1.
Ford averaged 3.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game for Rock Hill (27-4) this season.
