Royal Pains Hits Nielsen Streaming Top 10 Chart — Will It Be the New Suits?

Did someone call for a concierge doc…?

A little over a month after dropping its eight-season library onto Netflix, the “blue sky” USA Network drama Royal Pains has landed on Nielsen’s overall U.S. ranking of streaming series.

For the week of Feb. 5, Royal Pains‘ 108-episode library amassed 707 million minutes viewed, landing it at No. 7 on Nielsen’s overall ranking (behind Young Sheldon on Netflix/Max, Bluey on Disney+, Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix, Mr. & Mrs Smith on Prime Video, True Detective on Max, and Griselda on Netflix).

Nielsen notes that compared to last year’s headlines-making and franchise-reviving “blue sky” phenomenon, Suits, the Royal Pains audience is skewing a bit more female, but otherwise had a fairly similar make-up of viewers.

With the launch of its second season, Paramount+’s Halo returned to the chart at No. 3 (354 million minutes viewed across 11 available episodes), followed by Prime Video’s Reacher (up three spots with 314 million minutes viewed across 16 episodes) and Netflix’s One Day (296 million minutes/14 episodes).

Rounding out the Top 10 originals for the week of Feb. 5 were Netflix’s Fool Me Once and The Tourist, Peacock’s The Traitors, Netflix’s The Crown and Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians (which was down seven spots).
