Sac County park rangers say water too cold, fast for swimming
Warmer temperatures are always an invitation for people to head out for a swim, but a rainy and snowy start to the year means it's yet time to be in the water, officials warn. Many waterways are full, and the snowpack from months of stormy weather has still not fully melted. "Right now is just not the right time to be in the river swimming. The river is so unpredictable right now. It's very high. It's flowing very rapidly this time of year," said David Spencer, a commander with the Sacramento County Regional Parks.
