“Sandlot” star Tom Guiry is fined after pleading guilty to smashing Jeep window with dumbbell

The actor was also given credit for time served following his June 2 arrest.

All together now: You're killing me, Smalls.

A South Carolina judge has fined actor Tom Guiry, known for his role playing Scotty Smalls in 1993's The Sandlot, $757 after he pled guilty to third degree assault and battery, public disorderly conduct, and malicious damaging charges stemming from an arrest on June 2, according to Horry County court records obtained by Entertainment Weekly. Guiry was also given credit for time served following his arrest.

The charges against Guiry stem from an incident in which he can be seen throwing a dumbbell against the window of a white Jeep, cracking the windshield in the process, and later going to a neighbor's front door with a knife in his hand, according to videos obtained by local news outlet WBTW News 13.

In court Monday, the victims reported making three calls to 911 the day of the incidents over the course of "about two hours of chaos and yelling and screaming," the outlet reported.

One of the victims told the court the actor came to her front door with a knife and proceeded to follow her inside with it in his hands, at which point her husband confronted Guiry. When police responded to the disturbance, they found Guiry in the middle of the street asking about his wife's safety, per the WBTW News 13 report.

The neighbor who owned the Jeep told Guiry, "Really my window's been shattered," according the police report obtained by the outlet. Guiry allegedly responded, "That sucks, man, I’ll pay you back, I’m sorry, I’m gonna get you back." He also reportedly admitted to the act, saying, "I did it. I’m sorry man. I’m coming back to get you, [I’m] sorry brother. I’ll pay you back.”

A representative for Guiry did not immediately return EW's request for comment.
