Sarah Hyland Defended Ariel Winter’s Dress From Internet Trolls
When it comes to clapping back against trolls on social media, Sarah Hyland is an expert. And especially when they come for someone she loves, Sarah does not hold back.
On Sunday, February 23, Sarah and the cast of Modern Family celebrated the end of their show after 11 seasons with a glamorous party in L.A. Soon after, Sarah posted a photo of her and co-star (and on-screen sister) Ariel Winter from the bash.
In the pic, Sarah wore a fitted black dress while Ariel wore a sheer LBD. "11 years together is proof you and your tv sister will start wearing the same outfit, siblings for life will be made, and you’ll forever fight over the same professor," she wrote in the caption.
Soon after, however, trolls began to attack Ariel's outfit in the comments. "Literally the stylists on set must have had such a job trying to make Aerial look nerdy they deserve an award," a user commented. "What's up with ariel winters outfit tho," another one added. And Sarah wasn't having any of it.
Per Yahoo!, when more and more trolls began writing similar in the comments, Sarah shut them all down by saying, "she’s a sexy and confident woman. Everyone that is making a negative comment about my sister can back the f*ck up because I will not tolerate it."
Attacking someone based on their outfit choice is never the right thing to do. While we all may have differences in taste when it comes to clothing, it's never right to degrade someone because of their style preferences. Sarah obviously was not going to tolerate that, and her reaction shows just how much love she has for Ariel.
