Scott Bagshaw's Máquè restaurant makes enRoute long list

Winnipeg small plates restaurant Máquè is one of 35 nominees for the people's choice component of enRoutemagazine's best new restaurants list.

The Asian-influenced bistro, chef Scott Bagshaw's third establishment in the city, opened this spring on Stafford Street.

It's the only Winnipeg restaurant on the enRoutelong list of people's choice nominees, which is separate from the top 10 list compiled by the magazine itself every fall.

Enoteca, Bagshaw's Italian-Iberian small-plates restaurant on Corydon Avenue, made the top 10 list in 2015. It was the first Winnipeg restaurant to make the list since enRoutebegan compiling its rankings 15 years ago.

Bagshaw's third restaurant, Deseo on Osborne Street, is slated to be closed this fall.
