Princess Charlotte was gifted with presents from well-wishers around the world as her royal cuteness turned one on Monday (May 2). Here are the details on just some of the gifts the little princess received.

The palace released a statement thanking everyone for their cards, letters and presents for the one year old. They said: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are incredibly grateful for all the letters, gifts and good wishes they have been fortunate to receive in the year since Princess Charlotte was born."

The Duke and Duchess thanked well-wishers for Charlotte's gifts

President Barack Obama and his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama visited Princess Charlotte's home in April, and although the princess was fast asleep as the couple dined with her parents, they left her a gift for her birthday of a jigsaw puzzle and a toy dog similar to the one they gave to Prince George on her birth.

Prime Minister David Cameron gifted the princess with a copy of classic Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales, while the Prime Minister of Canada also gave the princess a book along with a snowsuit and an incredible $100,000 donation in her honour to Immunize Canada.

Pippa Middleton made the unusual choice to give her niece a set of biodegradable diapers made from natural mull cloth. However, the princess's grandad Prince Charles went with a more traditional approach, gifting his only granddaughter with a willow rattle made in Ireland.

The princess turned one on Monday

The Prime Minister of New Zealand gave the princess Stansborough woollen teddy bears, baby blankets and bootees, while the Australian government gave a similar present of a blanket made from Tasmanian merino wool.

The King and Queen of Bhutan gave both Princess Charlotte and Prince George handmade coats during their parents' tour of the country, while President Xi Jinping of China gave Charlotte a set of silk figurines during his visit to the UK in October.

The family have been celebrating Princess Charlotte's birthday at their home in Norfolk, which is also where Kate photographed her daughter for her official birthday photos.
