See Mattel's New Line of Barbie-Inspired Wedding Gowns Featuring Bows, Ruffles and Plenty of Pink!
Each design is inspired by a vintage Barbie look from the iconic toy brand's celebrated, 65-year history
Barbie is headed down the aisle!
Mattel has teamed up with bridal industry giant Azazie to create a one-of-a-kind collection of wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses and flower girl looks inspired by the iconic toy brand.
"The bold, powerful and playful collection takes direct inspiration from Barbie’s timeless fashion history," Azazie said in a release. "Azazie and Barbie inspire customers to see the limitless potential in themselves and their style."
Naturally, the collection serves up plenty of pink, along with pretty, feminine details such as bows, ruffles, 3-D flowers, lace, corsetry and hand beading.
Brides can choose from mikado and stretch satin mermaid, column and A-line silhouettes with a variety of necklines including sweetheart, cowl and off-the-shoulder. Each design draws inspiration from a vintage Barbie look from over the decades.
"By reinterpreting traditional details in modern, fun ways, Azazie pays homage to Barbie’s iconic styles, while still addressing modern sensibilities," the bridal company said.
With the collection, Azazie has launched an exclusive "Barbie Pink" colorway in tribute to the brand’s trademark hue, which is available only for the Barbie collection styles.
For flower girls, the collection features looks including a satin and tulle A-line dress detailed with colorful floral embellishments, and a box-pleated stretch satin frock with a flouncy skirt.
The bridesmaid offering, meanwhile, plays up the bold Barbie hot-pink shade with styles like a chiffon V-neck tiered A-line dress and a stretch satin off-the-shoulder drop-waist ball gown.

Barbie's bridal debut comes as the brand has been at the forefront of pop culture over the past year, thanks to the breakout success of the Academy Award-nominated, Greta Gerwig-led film Barbie.
