Selena Gomez Just Got Very Honest on Instagram About How Real Life Isn't Always "This Filtered"

Since Justin Bieber's engagement to Hailey Baldwin earlier this summer, Selena Gomez has been out here living her best life on IG. Her most recent post, though, eludes to the idea that what you see on social media isn't always an accurate representation of what's going on in someone's life.

She wrote: "A few of my favorite things in the entire world!!! UPDATE: I had something I’ve thought about for a while that I want to share. This page is my highlights and a few low lights. I post what I am willing to share with you guys."

"I hear people say all the time that they wish they had someone else’s life based on a few pictures.. we all do it. But this is me sharing some happy moments with you guys. Trust me, my life isn’t always this filtered and flowery... We are all on our own journey."

The caption accompanied a few pictures of her with her group of friends. Scroll to the right to see all of them.

And it's confusing because, like, is she trying to subtly tell the world that she's not that happy? Is this just a general PSA of the perils of social media? IS IT ABOUT JUSTIN??? IS IT ABOUT HAILEY?? Is it a jab at this Instagram from the weekend (my totally personal, totally unfounded theory)????

Either way, she finished the caption with a sunflower Instagram, so I think it's safe to say all is well in Selena land?
