Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause just called out Adam Levine after he denied affair

On September 19th, Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine responded to rumours that he had cheated on his wife, Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo with Instagram model Sumner Stroh. Denying the allegations after Stroh claimed she had an affair with him in a TikTok video, the 43-year-old released a statement on his Instagram stories.

"I used poor judgement in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner," part of the statement read. "I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life," before adding that "in certain instances it became inappropriate," and "I take full responsibility. We will get through it and we will get through it together."

Since the rumours surfaced, a number of famous women have spoken out about the alleged infidelity, some blaming both parties, and others singling out Levine. Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause was quick to share her thoughts, and wrote on Twitter: "When apologising for cheating publicly I hate the - we will get through it together part from a man. Don’t speak for her. You’ve done enough."

Model and actress Emily Ratajkowski also spoke out about the allegations. In response to a TikTok video made by actress Sarah Foster, which was captioned: "Dear married men who cheat, you suck. Dear married women who cheat with married men, you suck too," she said in a video that has since been removed: "I don't understand why we continue to blame women for men's mistakes, especially when you're talking about 20 something-year-old women dealing with men in positions of power who are twice their age."

In a second post, the 31-year-old followed up with: "I think a huge problem in our culture right now is we say, 'Oh men are monsters, they're terrible, they're horrible.' Then we don't hold them accountable. We blame other women and ask women to adjust their behaviour, instead of just saying that men need to change their behaviour. It's sexism. It's classic misogyny."

According to Stroh, she never wanted to bring the matter to public attention. But after she "recklessly" sent her friends screenshots of the exchanges between her and Levine and someone attempted to sell the story to a tabloid, she said she decided to speak out.

"Essentially, I was having an affair with a man who's married to a Victoria's Secret model," the 23-year-old said. "At the time, I was young, I was naïve and quite frankly I feel exploited. I wasn't in the scene like I am now, so I was definitely easily manipulated."

She followed up with: "Again, in no way was I trying to gain sympathy and I fully realise I'm not the victim in this. I'm not the one who's really getting hurt here, it's Behati and her children that I'm so so sorry."

Levine and his wife Prinsloo share two daughters together, Dusty Rose, five, and Gio Grace, four, and are currently expecting their third child.
