Seth Meyers Spots 1 Reason Trump Should Really Worry About Attorney’s Plea Deal

Seth Meyers has offered his unique take on what Kenneth Chesebro’s plea agreement means for Donald Trump.

Chesebro, an attorney who helped the former president with his push to overturn the 2020 election, pleaded guilty on Friday in Georgia’s sprawling election interference case.

He agreed to cooperate with prosecutors and testify against other defendants. Another election-denying attorney charged in the case, Sidney Powell, also accepted a plea deal last week. Trump was indicted along with 18 others in August.

“You know how I know this is bad for Trump? I don’t remember who this guy is,” Meyers said of Chesebro on “Late Night” Monday.

“When nutballs like Rudy Giuliani and Mike Lindell get in trouble, it just feels like that’s part of the plan. It’s been factored in,” he said, referring to two prominent figures in Trump’s election scheme. “But when an anonymous, white collar Harvard guy goes down and says he’ll cooperate with prosecutors, that’s gotta be when Trump’s thinking to himself, ‘oh no.’”

He added, “Because if Mike Lindell or Rudy Giuliani ever flipped on Trump and told a jury Trump was guilty, Trump would be found innocent by the first lunch break because they’re fucking nuts.”
